NEW YORK – The National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced the national television schedule on TNT, ESPN and ABC in opening week and Christmas Day for its historic 75th season.


The full game schedule and broadcast dates for TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV, and ESPN Radio for the 2021-22 season will be announced Friday, August 20 at 3 p.m. ET and includes several major games that celebrate “NBA 75”.

The first four days of the league’s 75th Anniversary season (October 19-22) will see eight national television matches as part of the 2021 Kia NBA Tip-Off, with TNT and ESPN broadcasting twice each. These games will feature 12 different teams, the last eight players to have won the Kia NBA Most Valuable Player award and three replays from last season’s playoffs.

The 2021-22 season will begin Tuesday, October 19 with a double header on TNT when the reigning NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks host the Brooklyn Nets (7:30 p.m. ET) in the rematch of a series of the NBA semifinals. Eastern Conference 2021, followed by the Golden State Warriors visiting the Los Angeles Lakers (10 p.m. ET). TNT will host two opening games for the 26th consecutive season, marking Turner Sports’ 38th consecutive year of NBA coverage.

ESPN will begin its 20th consecutive year of coverage on Wednesday, October 20 with a double header starting with the Boston Celtics visiting the New York Knicks (7:30 p.m. ET). In Game 2, Western Conference defending Phoenix Suns host the Denver Nuggets (10 p.m. ET) for the rematch of the 2021 Conference Semifinal series.

Two Conference Finals teams from last season will take the court with a TNT double-header on Thursday, October 21, as the 2021 Eastern Conference finalists host the Atlanta Hawks, the Dallas Mavericks (7:30 p.m. ET) and the L.A. Clippers, the 2017 Western Conference finalists. 2021. The Warriors (10 p.m. ET).

The 2021 Kia NBA Tip-Off will continue on Friday, October 22 with an ESPN double header. The 2021-22 regular season will run from October 19, 2021, to April 10, 2022. The 2022 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, February 20 in Cleveland. TNT will broadcast the NBA All-Star Game on television for the 20th consecutive year. The NBA Play-In Tournament 2022 will take place April 12-15, followed by the start of the NBA 2022 playoffs on Saturday, April 16.
