But according to this new research, the few thousand additional years of life they might add to your life are not well-followed. According to the research, those who live an unhealthy life style have ten years less expectancy than those who follow healthy lifestyle habits. These habits include smoking, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Other research has shown that these habits may be responsible for almost all types of cancers, including breast cancer, colon cancer, stomach cancer, and esophageal cancer. Although many people believe that the only time you will develop health problems is after you pass the age of 70, this is not necessarily true.

 

It seems that smoking, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol can lead to many different types of physical problems. The most obvious ones are death and illness. Other research has indicated that people who smoke or use tobacco have higher rates of depression and other mental health problems. It was also discovered that people who have portion sizes from junk food have lower mental health and lower job performance. It seems that poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyle habits may not just affect you physically, but mentally as well.

 

When you eat a poor diet and engage in bad behaviors, you are doing your body a big favor by promoting premature aging, illness, and poor mental health. The good news is that with a combination of good healthy lifestyle habits you can actually extend your life expectancy quite a bit. The difference may come in the longevity of your lifestyle. People who eat healthy foods, exercise regularly, get and stay healthy, and maintain a positive mental attitude have the ability to live longer than others who do not practice any of the healthy lifestyle habits. A person who maintains a healthy lifestyle and eats a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy products, lean meats and fish has a life expectancy that is several years longer than someone who does not practice good health practices.

 

Changing your eating habits and engaging in healthy lifestyle habits can be one of the best ways to add years to your life. You can change your habits and live a longer, healthier life. The first step in adopting a healthy lifestyle habit is to identify the right habit for you. If you smoke, then you need to give up the habit. Changing your physical behavior, engaging in regular exercise, eating healthy foods, and incorporating stress management techniques into your life will help you lead a longer, healthier lifestyle. You should also consider getting counseling or participating in a support group if you need some additional motivation.

 

Another study done by the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine found that those who engage in a healthy lifestyle habits can add on an additional ten years to their life. This ten year period of time translates to about thirty percent more life expectancy. The main reason why the researchers were able to determine this is because they included a large number of participants who were taking part in similar habits such as smoking, consuming alcohol, eating too much fast food, and having little exercise. The researchers also controlled for factors such as age, gender, ethnicity, education, marital status, country of origin, income level, and medical history. By including these factors, the researchers were able to determine that those who changed their unhealthy habits and made healthy lifestyle habits change can dramatically increase their life expectancy.
