cnetfreedownload.com – It’s been a great week for former FSU comeback Defonta Freeman. Freeman officially graduated from FSU after leaving early to the NFL after helping FSU win its third national title during the 2013 season.
Freeman, once the highest-grossing NFL, has been hampered by injuries in recent seasons. Freeman found a new home with the New York Giants after the Atlanta Falcons released him after the 2019 season.
Injuries tied Freeman back in 2020, appearing in just five matches before the Giants dumped him. Devonta Freeman signed with the Buffalo Bills coaching team in early 2021 until that contract expired.
However, Devonta Freeman finds a new home with an old teammate. Freeman’s agent announced that he had signed a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints, reuniting with his former Fed teammate, James Winston.
Winston fights a quarterback with Tysom Hill after Drew Bryce retires. It would be great to see the former Nol players get their careers back together. Freeman has played in 21 games since 2017 since hitting 896 yards in 252 carriers and three touchdowns.
He also had 61 receptions for 491 yards and four touchdowns in the same time frame. Freeman turned 29 last March and is likely to be used in limited plays with a crowded backcourt featuring All Pro linebacker Alvin Kamara.
I think he still has quite a bit of tire footprint left, as long as he can finally stay healthy for a season. If so, you may be productive enough to get another contract before father time catches you forever.
Congratulations to Devonta Freeman and hopefully his situation is better than that of Kelvin Benjamin with the New York Giants team.
